2nd November 2017

Columbus, lunch in the warm and welcoming Waterfront restaurant, table 242 in a cosy alcove,New Zealand muscles and some vegetables, the three pieces of seafood having sailed across the seas and the oceans deserved something better than the tasteless greasy vegetables they came nestled on,the mushroom cobbler would have made happy even the Queen of England, the pieces of cheesy little dough on the top were divine, would have been happy with a plateful of those to make my lunch complete, the brown rolls are always tasty and as fresh as a daisy,I had 2 and feeling so utterly comfortable did not want to leave the soft sofa and the padding I was leaning against,so ordered some cheese, came with biscuits, would have preferred bread but was too slow to tell the nice obliging waiters and it really did not matter, the cheese, three kinds was good, came with some dry, very dry pieces of what may have been prunes but could have been anything, all washed down with two cups of tea brewed to perfection. And I even had decent neighbours, pleasant, not inquisitive.
