Dinner yesterday was excellent,
gravlax of the freshest of the fresh salmon,then chickpeas and chorizo soup,a rabbit pie with prunes, semolina chips and snap peas and absolutely the best dessert to date - summer fruit pudding.The rabbit was the first rabbit I remember having on a ship, I was expecting a proper steaming-hot pie with a hat on! What came was all dissected,but very good nonetheless.When the waiter asked if I had enjoyed the meal [as they always do] I said- well, the pie was not what I thought it was going to be, but I suppose a rabbit is a rabbit is a rabbit. He thought it was hilarious and burst out laughing so aloud,other patrons turned to see what was happening.At 10 I was back in my stateroom,having had the most glorious,wonderful day.
