Any person convicted of littering faces a fine of up to  S$ 1,000 for the first offence.Repeat offenders  up to S$ 2,000,including a stint of corrective work order,cleaning public places.
It is an offence not to flush public toilet  after use.Those convicted  face a fine  of up to S$ 150 for a first offence,S$ 500 for a second and  S$ 1,000 for subsequent offences.
In places where smoking is not permitted, the fine for smoking  is S$ 1,000.
There is a smoke free zone in Orchard Street,probably the most famous shopping street in Singapore.
Tipping is not encouraged, as 10 % service charge is added on the bills.
