05/08/2016,I am beginning to come to a conclusion the little squirrel in my garden is an orphan.

I have seen it hopping towards the trough by itself several times in the past week and today at dusk when the pigeons descended into the garden it appeared to be afraid of them and I have never seen a squirrel afraid of a bird,it is always the pigeons staying in the background when the squirrels come to dinner. But this little mite hasn't yet learnt where exactly in the pecking order it stands not having the parents to guide it. I hope it will learn before the cat gets it Several nights in a row there have been terrifying shrieks in the garden of a life being taken but I can see no sign of a struggle in the morning.
