of the dullest port in Australia.

And, please, do not let 

any-one tell you otherwise.😊

Cairns is the nearest town and free shuttle service was provided, but we had a tour booked on the Kuranda railway and I almost wish we had not.The train was delayed for almost an hour, temperature hitting 33, few decent chairs to sit on, no cold water. And when we got to the Kuranda village, situated in the world's oldest tropical rainforest,it was a long tiring walk from the train station to the top and to the meeting place to get the bus back to the port.It could have and should have been so much better.

The best part about the whole forgettable experience was the tender. Comfortable large chairs, lots of space, free wi-fi, the boat gliding on the bumpy sea effortlessly, I did not want to leave.(Yorkeys knob  was another port reachable by tender only)
