Mr Trump has formally recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel

and plans to move the American Embassy there from Tel Aviv. Why now? Why at present, when there is so much turmoil in the world?More protests in the Gaza strip will follow,more violence,more deaths. Haven't enough young men died on both sides? And for what? Still no peace in the Middle East. Still no acceptance either by the Jews or the Arabs of the other side's right to life,to existence.If only in 1967 Israel had been magnanimous and made peace. What Israel did in the Six Way war was a masterstroke.Never had so few done so much for their country as the Israeli soldiers did, massively outnumbered by the Egyptian army,Jordan,Syria,they fought like tigers and were so gloriously victorious,they captured Sinai Peninsula,West Bank,Golan Heights,Gaza Strip and the Old City of Jerusalem.Israel had the trump card in their hands,but it never played it to their advantage politically and never has an opportunity like that returned.Great error of judgement on the part of Israel then,great error of judgement on your part now, Mr Trump.
