I love travelling and have been to 89 countries. And what I see,I write about.Impartially.

31/07/2016 BILBAO
The buildings in this Spanish city range from 14th century churches to the modern metro station and the Guggenheim, none of which I went to see,as they suffer from the scourge of the modern times-the Spanish siesta, except the Gugge, but as the people coming out looked quite hot and bothered, because of the children we decided not to go in and walked the streets of Bilbao,so to speak, instead. We walked, and walked, an walked some more. The baby was happy, the children were happy, the parents were happy. The manageress of Lacoste store was the happiest of all,as we had left there enough Euros to pay off Greece's national debt. We all loved Bilbao. Yes,it is scruffy, yes not a SINGLE building has seen a paint brush since General Franco. But it is charming and delightful.
