Guatemala is the 91st country I have visited.It was not on the original itinerary.

But the war in Gaza and Ukraine has changed the world and the cruise world, too and we ended in Guatemala.

My blog is not a political platform. But I travel with open eyes and see what I often would prefer not to see. Guatemala is a poor, sad country.But the people I met were kind and deserve so much better and more. They deserve electricity in every ramshackle house, they deserve eggs for breakfast.

I decided not to take photos of the dirt, the poverty we encountered on the six hour tour to a coffee plantation.
