Hercules Lighthouse on the outskirts of La Coruna was built by the Romans and is the only lighthouse in the world still working as originally intended.
Legend has it, that the bones of the giant Gerion, killed by Hercules, are bried under the beacon, hence its name.
The statue of The Octupus is a homage to the mollusk so plentiful in the waters of Galicia and loved by the locals.
