4 August 2017,Ventura,Spain,Portugal,Guernsey

When I opened the door to cabin R751,my heart jumped with joy.Never have I had a cabin in a position quite like this-at the back of the 14th floor, the balcony hidden in the corner, kind of askew, the whole starboard side of the ship spread out in front of me.Even an overhang and the lack of sunshine did not spoil the magnificent view and the joy of knowing this was mine, all mine for the next seven days made me want to sing and dance.I knew when booking the cruise I was allocated freedom dining which meant small table to myself every evening and now the perfect location of the cabin was the proverbial cherry on the best apple strudel. So came 6 o'clock I was standing in line to dine in the Cinnamon restaurant.A couple looked at me both saying something, thinking they said hello I smiled and nodded, but then the lady said-we have seen you on a Royal Caribbean ship.I had no idea who they were and had no wish to know. They were both pounding me with questions. My heart sank.Shall I jump overboard? As we had a safety drill only several hours earlier I knew there would be too many floating objects thrown after me to save me,so I just had to grin and nod and look overjoyed! The door to the dining room opened and aI sighed a sigh of relief.
