The City of Arts and Sciences

is Valencia's modern crown jewel.Opened 25 years ago,it is innovative,immaculate,busy,yet peaceful.I visited Valencia on 6th October,2023 and spent practically the whole day there.This time I added The Torres de Serrans to my must see sights.This is where the works from the Prado, Madrid, were stored during the Spanish Civil War( 1936 -1939).

As Mahon,Menorca,was utterly enchanting,

Propriano,Corsica,was not.

There was nothing whatsoever I saw that I

would like to see again.

French style and elegance? Nope, not in Propriano.

Scruffy buildings,dangerous pavements,not a decent coffee shop anywhere,stench of cigarettes everywhere.

Finally I found sn outside table with a lovely view of the ship and had an excellent cappuccino, but not a cake to enjoy with the coffee

Oh, Napoleon Bonaparte was born on Corsica

Mahon,Menorca

For me the biggest problem when travelling is the access to internet.

One would presume that in Europe in this day and age free

wi-fi would be provided at least on tourist buses and in restaurants and public places, but it is not so. The ships are another problem alltogether, exorbitant prices are inexusable and even if you do pay, the access to wi-fi is sporadic and intermittent with a million and one excuses.

So now again I have a problem and am often not sure of anything has been published as the posts appear and disappear.

Propriano, Corsica.
